

Ka Hana Kauhale
Ka'ahele i Molokai
The Ka'ahele is an opportunity for all of Molokai to express their mahalo for the blessings of abundance in the current Makahiki season, and to petition in pule for the next season. This old tradition was brought back in response to pandemic restrictions, and the community has found new and expanded benefits for our community that goes beyond the Makahiki season.

Papa 'Awalau
Papa 'Awalau is a cohort of 'aha 'awa practitioners who are elevating their skills to incorporate more ceremony across Molokai as a tool for grounding, kapu setting, facilitating diplomatic conversations and healing.

Ho'olewa
Hoʻolewa works to provide access to resources that encourage environmental stewardship and increased Hawaiian cultural integration in death care and empowers individuals, families, and communities to exercise their agency in the death care space. Ho'olewa also works with the current healthcare and mortuary industries to provide more kanaka-friendly options, and develops local sources of affordable goods and services of the highest quality that satisfy the community’s death care needs;

Mauli Ola, Mauli 'Awa
An initiative to build seamless support between the most sacred kanaka transitions - birth and death. The holistic approach of preparation, care, support, resources and ceremony hopes to provide trauma informed care that rebuilds confidence, self-determination and pono and strengthen families.

I Ola Ke Kulāiwi
I Ola Ke Kulāiwi is the work to repatriate iwi kupuna removed from Molokai and returning them to original burial sites safely. We also support 'ohana to secure iwi kupuna and burial sites that are at risk, facilitate kūkā between 'ohana and organizations, and conduct protocols and ceremonies to make pono again.

Ka'ililau
Is an app in development to help track ho'okupu presentations in relation to Ka'ahele and Makahiki. Through analyzing the data in a map overlay, the mo'olelo of the health of our 'āina and kaiāulu emerges in innovative ways that then informs policy, advocacy and stewardship.

Kiamanu
Kiamanu focuses on rebuilding traditional connections to native forest and sea birds, restoring healthy habitat, and incorporating their use in cultural practice.

Kia'i Kanaloa
Supporting our kupuna of the kanaloa realm, we respond to ocean animals in distress, coordinate with agency responders and conduct cultural protocol as needed to provide the highest level of care. Through understanding our kanaloa, we can provide advocacy and education that brings our kanaka practice into alignment that benefits everyone.
